The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans invites applications for one faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor who will contribute to the teaching and research missions of the Department starting in Spring 2023. Incumbent must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, reliability, initiative, flexibility, and a high standard of ethics.
Interested applicants must have the ability to immediately instruct in Pharmacology. Expertise in cardiac and cardiovascular pharmacology is preferred. Candidates must display a willingness to be mentored in and teach pharmacology to all levels of health professional students. Teaching duties may be assigned within the multiple health professional schools of the LSU Health Sciences Center (Medicine, Dentistry, Allied Health, Nursing and Graduate). Successful candidates will also be expected to participate in scholarly educational research, or biomedical research. We are looking for a dedicated medical educator.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An offer of employment is contingent upon a satisfactory pre-employment background check.
