Ochsner Health is seeking a full time HEMATOPATHOLOGIST to join the department of pathology and laboratory medicine- New Orleans region. Candidates should be board certified in Anatomic and Clinical pathology and be board certified or eligible (by start date) in Hematopathology.

The department of pathology and laboratory medicine New Orleans region is comprised of 36 pathologist and 2 PhD’s. Annual volumes include approximately 95,000 surgical cases, 65,000 cytology cases and 1800 bone marrows. The department supports the region’s busiest bone marrow, CAR-T and solid organ transplant programs.
Position Highlights:
Location: New Orleans, LA
This position will grow Ochsner’s hematopathology team to 6 individuals
Duties include: bone marrow and lymph node sign out, hematopathology consultation, flow cytometry sign out, clinical pathology responsibilities, medical directorship responsibilities, tumor board
General schedule: 8-5 Monday-Friday. Night and weekend call is shared with hematopathology group
