Job Summary:
Xavier University of Louisiana is seeking to hire a part-time Program Manager for the Achieve Dual Enrollment Program. The Achieve Program provides local high school juniors and seniors with an opportunity to enroll in and earn college credits from Xavier as part of the early preparation process for college.
The Program Manager will report to the Director for Student Success and work very closely with the Coordinator for Exploratory Advising and Planning by assisting with coordinating key aspects of the program, including participant recruitment and programmatic planning.
Xavier University of Louisiana is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with local high school students from diverse backgrounds and who have demonstrated commitment in helping local students further their educational aspirations and have worked in programs that help transitions high school students to secondary education institutions. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in counseling and guidance, college student personnel, education, student affairs, or related field.
One year of student program management experience, advising, or counseling services in a high school setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution, with one year of dual enrollment program experience, or high school counseling support (with at least one year in a high school environment working with high school to college initiatives).
Experience creating and managing educational programs.
Experience working with diverse students in the local education system.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment.
Excellent oral, written communication skills, and organizational skills.
