University Medical Center New Orleans offers a 12-month training postgraduate year two (PGY-2) Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency program with extensive experience that foster the development of proficiency in antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases pharmacotherapy. Our rotations include a mix of focused and longitudinal experiences spanning both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Musculoskeletal Infections Consults
• Medical Intensive Care Unit
• ASP/ Infectious Diseases Consult at partner hospitals
• Academia

• Research project to be presented at an infectious diseases conference
• Clinical in-house coverage every third weekend and designated holidays
• Participation in practice management and administration, including medication use evaluation projects
• Antimicrobial Stewardship & Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees involvement
• Education to medical and pharmacy staff
