The Ochsner Neuroscience Institute has a complement of over 40 neurologists and 12 neurosurgeons with representation in all subspecialty areas.
Ochsner is the leading clinical oncology program in the Gulf South Region, and the applicant neuro-oncologist will join a comprehensive team of a board-certified neurooncologist, tumor-focused neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists specializing in CNS disease, medical oncologists, and clinical research support.
For over 75 years, we have been dedicated to cancer research and new cancer treatment developments, with more clinical trials than anywhere else in the region. In the past year, Ochsner has provided both personalized and state-of-the-art care to more than 15,000 cancer patients. Our multi-disciplinary approach with radiation and surgical oncologists with expertise in all disease sites, advanced technologies, and focus on clinical research and our Precision Cancer Therapies Program define our approach to cancer care. Ochsner Cancer Institute has recently partnered with MD Anderson Cancer Center, which allows for collaboration between patients and the providers to receive adjunct faculty appointments. Ochsner is the only health center in Louisiana with a fully integrated cancer program based on MD Anderson’s standards. We are formalizing plans for additional cancer centers across the Gulf South, reflecting our commitment to leading cancer care in the region and beyond.
