Job Summary: A University Police Sergeant is responsible for supervising daily operations for a particular shift, specialized unit and overtime detail. This position supervises Officers, Corporals, specialized unit staff, and event staff in their daily operations; schedules staff and makes assignments; is the first linesupervisor for all patrol functions; evaluates performance, provides feedback, constructive criticism, coaching, and discipline as needed. Must conduct and oversee all aspects of police duties andresponsibilities, including criminal investigation, processing evidence, interviewing witnesses and making arrests.
