The New Orleans VA Medical Center, in New Orleans, LA, has an immediate opening for full-time, board-certified Staff Pathologist to work in a large multidisciplinary laboratory which includes Anatomic Pathology, hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood bank. In addition to duties as a Staff Pathologist, there is the potential for appointment as a Supervisory Assistant Chief of Pathology, contingent upon adequate experience.

Highlights of this position include:
Competitive Salary: $280,000 - $380,000
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with on-call rotations.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. (Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found)
Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
We offer:
Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Assistance with payment of outstanding medical school loans, up to $200K over 5 years, if approved.
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
