A PGY1 Pharmacy Residency through University of Louisiana Monroe will afford graduating residents with the unique opportunity of having experienced the three pillars of a clinical faculty position – service, teaching and scholarship. Our programs emphasize the role of pharmacists as educators, while providing diverse rotational experiences at our partner institutions.
We have two PGY1 positions available. Our programs will operate concurrently with one resident based out of ULM COP’s main campus in Monroe, LA and a second resident based out of ULM COP’s New Orleans Regional Campus.
About University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy
The Pharmacy program at ULM is Louisiana’s only publicly supported comprehensive center for pharmaceutical education, research, and service. The Toxicology program at ULM was the first of its kind in the South and is currently one of only six nationally. Our Graduate program offers two PhD degree options.
The education offered at ULM equips our students with the tools necessary to be prepared for and be successful in the constantly changing field of health care. Graduates of our pharmacy program work across the nation in community and health-system pharmacies, clinical practices, managed care groups, academia, the pharmaceutical industry, and a wide variety of other settings.
Students enrolled in the programs offered by the College of Pharmacy at ULM receive a challenging and forward-thinking education that combines classroom learning, practical application, and experiential training in our state-of-the-art facility located in Monroe, Louisiana.
