The Biostatistics Program in the School of Public Health (SPH) at the Louisiana State University Health—New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) is hiring an Assistant/Associate tenure-track/tenured faculty position in biostatistics.
The Biostatistics Program offers Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science (MS), and Doctoral of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. Biostatistics faculty members enjoy strong collaborative relationships with other Programs in the School of Public Health and with schools across the health science center, including the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Dentistry, School of Allied Health, and the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. We seek candidates with research interest and experience in broad areas of biostatistics methods development and applications that complement and strengthen current research programs by our health sciences center campus faculty.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in biostatistics, statistics, or a related area. In addition, candidates being considered for this position will have evidence of existing (at the associate professor level) or potential (at the assistant professor level) for establishing an independent, extramurally funded research program, a demonstrated interest in teaching, and a commitment to biostatistics and public health. Candidates will be expected to teach biostatistics courses, collaborate with other researchers, establish independent externally funded research, advise and mentor students and post-doctoral fellows.
