HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity with our client, University Medical Center, an LCMC Health hospital for a Director, Case Management. University Medical Center is an Academic Medical Center with 446-licensed bed, Level I Trauma Center and affiliated with LSU Health New Orleans and Tulane University School of Medicine. The Director of Case Management is responsible for the overall administration and direction of the Case Management Department, including planning, organizing, controlling, and directing all services and operations in the areas of care coordination and discharge planning. This position also serves as a leadership role in developing interfaces with clinical staff across the continuum and directly supervises the Case Management staff in the hospital. The Director of Case Management will ensure the competency, productivity and efficiency of the Case Management department while ensuring that the operations of the department are consistent with the organizational standards. The Director of Case Management will have oversight for all aspects of daily hospital case management operations including case management model, staffing, onboarding, staff competencies, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, and payroll records. This position will Collaborate with medical staff and leadership to ensure appropriate medical staff involved in utilization management efforts. Louisiana Children's Medical Center Health (LCMC Health) is a nonprofit network of healthcare providers in Southern Louisiana, based out of New Orleans. Members include academic centers, acute care facilities, and research hospitals. QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Social Work, Healthcare or Business
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, Social Work, Business or Healthcare
Experience
Minimum Required: 5 years of management/leadership experience and a minimum of 3 years of case management experience
Licensure: Registered Nurse, Social Work
Certification: ACM (Accredited Case Manager) through ACMA, CCM (Certified Case Manager) through CCMC; Board certification in Nursing Case Management (RN-BC) through ANCC.

Key driver of the length of stay and throughput initiatives
Collect, analyze, evaluate, and present case management operational and process metric data to key stakeholders
Responsible for all fiscal operations for the department, including establishing and managing the budget
