The Ochsner Medical Center PGY-2 Oncology Residency is a one-year program that provides the resident with advanced pharmacotherapy training in a diverse oncology patient population, including solid tumor, hematologic malignancies, and bone marrow transplant. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, the resident will utilize evidence-based recommendations to optimize medication therapy and implement chemotherapy treatment regimens. Participation in patient care will occur in the acute and ambulatory settings, with daily opportunities for direct patient interaction, including education of patients and their caregivers.
