Assistant Professor / Associate Professor, Clinical - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology - Sickle Cell
The Department of Pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) in conjunction with the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans seeks a physician with expertise in sickle cell disease as well as interest in other disorders of red blood cells. The physician will help continue the growth of the robust sickle cell disease program. Experience in clinical research leading to academic recognition and a vision for an expanded research mission of the program are important. In addition to the care of patients with sickle cell disease, the physician will also see children with other hemoglobinopathies, thalassemia, and less common blood cell abnormalities.
