PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGIST

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Heart Center of Children’s Hospital of New Orleans (CHNOLA) is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist with expertise in pediatric cardiology including outpatient and inpatient cardiology and non-invasive pediatric cardiology imaging.  The candidate would be primarily based at CHNOLA Heart Center locations in Baton Rouge.

Children’s Hospital is proud to be the only pediatric facility in the state of Louisiana to incorporate two academic pediatric medical programs under one roof. Through partnerships with LSU Health New Orleans and Tulane University School of Medicine, the vibrant academic medical community at Children’s Hospital provides unparalleled opportunities for educational enhancement, innovation, and improved access to high quality pediatric healthcare. Evaluation of academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor of Full Professor (non-tenure, clinical track) and will be determined by the candidate’s credentials and experience.

The Heart Center is led by Co-Directors Dr. Thomas Kimball, Chief of Pediatric Cardiology, who joined Children’s Hospital in 2019 from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, the number 3 ranked children’s hospital by US News & World Report, and Dr. Frank Pigula, Chief of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery, who spent 12 years as Clinical Director of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital, the number 1 ranked Children’s Hospital in the country by US News & World Report. The addition of new world-class talent amplifies the existing team of expert cardiac specialists, and is paralleled by the Heart Center’s physical transformation, which includes a new, expansive 28-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), state-of-the-art operating rooms, two advanced cardiac catheterization labs, and the expansion of satellite clinics across Louisiana.
