University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) New Orleans campus seeks to provide diverse and unique practice experiences for 2 PGY1 residents to help improve the health of our Louisiana communities. This resident will not only be trained to positively impact the health of our community, but to help in advancing the profession of pharmacy, encompassing the vision of ULM’s College of Pharmacy.
ULM has two available PGY1 resident positions, one in Monroe, LA and one in New Orleans, LA. Clinical experiences will be provided by ULM's School of Clinical Sciences faculty at our partner sites in Monroe, Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport's Monroe Medical Center and Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport's Academic Medical Center and in New Orleans, University Medical Center New Orleans and CrescentCare. Residents will complete separate clinical experiences while developing longitudinal drug information, management, academic and scholarly pursuits together, virtually.
Graduation from an ACPE accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program
Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in the state of Louisiana
Completed application in PhorCAS due January 7, 2022
The Pharmacy program at ULM is Louisiana’s only publicly supported comprehensive center for pharmaceutical education, research, and service. The education offered at ULM equips our students with the tools necessary to be prepared for and be successful in the constantly changing field of health care. Graduates of our pharmacy program work across the nation in community and health-system pharmacies, clinical practices, managed care groups, academia, the pharmaceutical industry, and a wide variety of other settings.
Students enrolled in the pharmacy program at ULM receive a challenging and forward-thinking education that combines classroom learning, practical application, and experiential training in our state-of-the-art pharmacy facility located in Monroe, Louisiana. Regional campuses are housed in Shreveport and New Orleans, LA.
