POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Athletics Ticket Operations manages the daily operations of the Athletics Ticket Office. This position directs all ticket ordering, allocations, invoices, and payments for home and away contests. The Director oversees the customer database, online customer ticketing experience, and fan surveys. This position generates reports and establishes best practices for the ticket office operation. The Director also works closely with Athletics External Units including the Green Wave Club and Marketing and Promotions on fan and donor retention. The Director of Athletics Ticket Operations supervises student workers and the Assistant Director of Athletics Ticket Operations. This position is a full-time position under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Customer Service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Function: Daily Operations of the Athletics Ticket Office - Manage the daily operations of the Athletics Ticket Office, including functions at campus-hosted ticketed events, select road games, and postseason events: Process ticket orders for season, individual, group, and mini plan ticket packages for all sports; responsible for the processing of ticket invoices and payments; and works under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Customer Services. (50%) 2. Function: Online Ticketing - Manage all aspects of the online ticketing experience of Tulanetix.com including ticketed events, Wave Warehouse, Riptide Kid’s Club, special events, etc.; direct all aspects of fan surveys including the creation, distribution, collection, and analysis of data; and oversee and uphold data integrity for customer database including biographic, ticketing, and donation data. (25%) 3. Function: Athletics External Units - Work closely with Athletics External Units including the Green Wave Club and Marketing and Promotions on fan and donor retention. (15%) 4. Function: NCAA Related - Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations. (5%) 5. Function: Other Duties - Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletics Director, Ticket Sales and Customer Services. (5%)
Required Education and Experience:
3 years of ticket operation experience, to include computerized ticket systems experience OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent
9 years of ticket operation experience, to include computerized ticket systems experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/Competencies:
Proven knowledge and ability to manage a comprehensive ticket operation and customer database.
Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships.
Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, reporting functions and software necessary to the ticket office operation.
Proven ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
Demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends for home and away contests with sports teams.
Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
Previous experience working full time in a Division I Intercollegiate Athletics Department
Previous detailed experience with Paciolan Ticketing Software and Products
