Job Description The Behavioral Health Clinical Liaison supports the state Medicaid plan by outreaching members, interfacing with behavioral health providers, and being the subject matter expert for their region. Incumbent provides a consultative function regarding behavioral health issues to care management team. Position facilitates training on topical behavioral health issues to member facing staff at plan. This position is a leader who may participate in local, regional and state level stakeholder meetings. Position serves a variety of functions in the plan including as subject matter expert, consultative to care management staff, and participation in stakeholder meetings. Specific duties of this position focus on monitoring, oversight, and support of Evidence Based Practice (EBP's) providers and services to include the following: â¢ Oversee network of EBP providers, providing technical assistance and ensuring implementation of Provider Manual and regulator policy â¢ Participate in any coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders as needed for member care or administering the system â¢ Routine monitoring of provider deliverables and data analysis for all EBPâ™s, including but not limited to vacancies for required positions on ACT teams, as well as monitoring ACT Team census, and ACT monthly outcome measure reports. â¢ Ensure fidelity of EBP services to SAMHSA or other applicable standards â¢ Facilitate timely referrals for ACT members entering ACT services, or transitioning from ACT to a lower LOC â¢ Coordinating compilation of monthly (or other periodic) EBP data for Dashboards, reports, tracking of trends with Census/rosters and performances, and semi-annual outcome reporting for all EBPâ™s (per state requirements) â¢ Collaboration with Courts and Crisis teams, Housing, Employment, and other liaisons â¢ Take part in monthly ACT-related meetings with LA state and in quarterly ACT provider meetings â¢ Monitor and assist with training and support for providers â¢ Monitor and address member concerns â¢ Monitor ACT Graduation data to ensure appropriate step-down as needed to ensure adequate capacity state ACT teams â¢ Coordinate data collection and analysis related to EBP
Required Qualifications 5 years community mental health work experience required including both provision and supervision of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services Experience working with behavioral health and substance use populations required Unrestricted and active state of Louisiana license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP). Clean driving record and valid driver's license state of Louisiana 10-15% Travel required in the Greater New Orleans /Baton Rouge LA and surrounding areas Demonstrated ability to form and maintain collaborative working relationships with community based mental health providers, knowledge of the Louisiana Department of Health regulations related to behavioral health and substance use Medicaid services, and prior experience providing behavioral health services.
Preferred Qualifications Managed Care work experience in behavioral health and/or care management preferred
Education Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, or closely related field from a CACREP accredited university
