Ursuline Academy of New Orleans seeks an Associate Director of Communications for the 2021-2022 school year. The Associate Director of Communications plays a pivotal role in strategically promoting Ursuline Academy. Reporting directly to the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Associate Director of Communications oversees the areas of marketing, communications and public relations, and is responsible for all internal and external communications for the school - including digital technology and social media. The Associate Director of Communications will work closely with the Director of Institutional Advancement, President, Principal, Board of Trustees, and Director of Enrollment Management to develop and implement a broad, comprehensive and strategic marketing and branding plan designed to promote enrollment and fundraising. In addition to strategic marketing, the position is responsible for communications related to internal and external Academy news, media relations, issues/crisis management, public and community engagement, and special events. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Actively promote the mission and standards of the school in all communications. • Develop and execute annual marketing and communication campaign plans that engage internal and external constituents in the support and promotion of the school. • Ensure cohesive and dynamic marketing campaign plan is applied across all formats: website, media, internal and external communications, email and mail communications, publications, and social media. • Manage Academy graphic design and images, designing communication materials for various purposes. • Manage media interactions and communications, by cultivating relationships with media contacts. • Manage all elements of The Ursu.Lines quarterly magazine and annual report.
Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or closely related field Five years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations Qualification Preferences: Seven plus years of experience in public relations, marketing, or communications with independent schools or non-profit organizations Demonstrated experience with photography, videography, graphic design, website content management and design, and social media marketingCome make a difference at Ursuline Academy!
