Assistant/Associate Professor, tenure or non-tenure track

The University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) College of Pharmacy, School of Clinical Sciences, invites applications for a full-time clinical faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The position will be a 12-month, tenure or non-tenure track appointment. The faculty member is expected to develop and maintain an exemplary clinical practice at either of the regional campuses in Shreveport, Louisiana (LA) or New Orleans, LA or at the main campus in Monroe, LA (location negotiable with applicant). The practice site will provide a rigorous base from which to teach didactic and experiential coursework and to develop a program of scholarship. Additional service requirements consistent with a faculty position are expected. The Pharmacy program at ULM is Louisiana’s only publicly supported comprehensive center for pharmaceutical education, research, and service. The education offered at ULM equips our students with the tools necessary to be prepared for and be successful in the constantly changing field of health care. Graduates of our pharmacy program work across the nation in community and health-system pharmacies, clinical practices, managed care groups, academia, the pharmaceutical industry, and a wide variety of other settings.

Candidates should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited college/school of pharmacy (or equivalent) with residency and/or fellowship training. Those with equivalent experience in the area of practice will also be considered. Eligibility for Louisiana state pharmacy licensure is required. Candidates should exhibit effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and dedication to student-centered education and lifelong learning. |
