LSU Health Sciences Center - New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) includes six professional schools including the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Dentistry, School of Allied Health Professions, School of Graduate Studies and School of Public Health. It employs over 3,400 people who support approximately 2,800 students. More than 900 residents and fellows are completing training in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Bogalusa, Lafayette and Lake Charles. Faculty, numbering more than 950, was awarded $126 million in research funding over the past three years. LSUHSC–NO has public-private partnerships with various affiliated hospitals.

LSUHSC-NO now seeks a seasoned professional to facilitate the cultural transformation to a customer-centric environment, enhance/augment automation to improve the quality of services, instill a sense of ownership for department quality and efficacy and to optimize peer credibility through inculcation of a shared mission.
Qualified candidates must bring a minimum of 10 years progressively responsible human resources leadership with experience in compensation and benefits, employee relations, HRIS development, workforce and organizational development and talent development/management. Candidates must also bring demonstrated success in culture change and development as well as the ability to create a sense of camaraderie and shared mission within the department and across the organization. To be competitive, candidates must also demonstrate success in effective HRIS evaluation, development and implementation. Successful candidates must exhibit a confident and collegial style capable of creating credibility among peers and leadership. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred. Leadership experience in an institution of higher education is essential.
