Partner with cross-function teams (Commercial, Procurement, and Global R&D) to provide stewardship and governance on food contact material (FCM) regulations and safety.
Coordinate testing program to support risk assessments.
Create and communicate customer facing scientific and regulatory information to address global food contact safety.
This includes acting as a resource for general information and becoming a consultant, mentor and trainer for other technical personnel within Laitram.
Monitor regulatory development, identify potential risks, implement strategies and policies in response to new safety and regulatory requirements on FCMs.
Partner with teams involved in Incident Management and Crisis Resolution processes.
High level of competence understanding and applying global Food Contact Material (FCM) regulations including but not limited to FDA, EU, China, Japan and MERCOSUR/Brazil.
5+ years of relevant experience in industry or consulting.
Strong technical skills using Microsoft Office, Access or similar data management tools.
Familiarity with Oracle, Teleservice and Dynamics.
Strong commitment to team dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and maintain flexibility while meeting strict deadlines.
Excellent collaboration and problem resolution skills to drive root cause determination and effect change.
Travel requirement approximately 10%-20%
