The Clinical Coordinator competently performs the duties of a staff pharmacist and functions as a first line supervisor and primary resource person for monitoring and coordinating clinical decision oversight. The Coordinator coordinates work-related activities of pharmacy students and pharmacy residency program. Designs and implements training and education on relevant clinical information.

Designs and implements new pharmacy programs, quality improvement changes, to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Develops quality assurance programs, including but not limited to drug utilization reviews; clinical intervention documentation audits; and clinical outcome assessments, to maintain optimal clinical pharmacy services and identify opportunities for growth.
Coordinates education and training programs designed to more fully develop the clinical skills of the pharmacy department staff and ensure the competency of the pharmacists involved in clinical pharmacy services.
Establishes productive, collaborative relationships with providers
Monitors pharmacy practice performance of patient management program
Coordinates PGY1 pharmacy practice residency
Develops training of all pharmacists for clinical development
Required – Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD); Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency
Required – PGY1 Residency
Preferred – Supervisory experience
Required - Current Pharmacy license in the state of practice by start date
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
Positive interpersonal skills
