The Ssles & Sponsorship Manager is responsible for building and leading all phases of a sponsorship and exhibit program. This involves responsibility for developing and executing a sponsorship sales plan including sponsor prospecting, proposal customization and presentation, contract revision and services, and sponsor follow-up and support. The primary responsibility is to execute trade show sponsorship/partnership, and exhibit sales, provide excellent customer service and benefit fulfillment in regards to all MCCNO in-house special events. Sales efforts include identifying and closing exhibit sales, sponsorships, advertising sales, and any other sales opportunities related to MCCNO in-house special events.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and implement a sponsorship sales plan for increasing revenues in a cost-effective manner. Target objectives include increasing sponsorship sales and creating sponsorship products and licensing deals in order to meet or exceed the overall objectives.
Develop and implement a sponsorship budget to achieve the sales plan.
Work with Department Head and MCCNO Marketing Team to strategize and develop marketing campaigns supporting all department sales activities, including exhibit/sponsor/donor materials.
Pitch, negotiate and close exhibit and sponsorship sales from the inception of the sale, contract negotiation through post-event entitlements.
Look for opportunities within the NOLA community to enhance and develop new opportunities, such as partnership with other events, partnership with schools and groups, etc. and develop NOLA relationships to discover trends and opportunities. Submit marketing plans, prospect activity, and forecast reports; provide briefings as necessary or as requested.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
Assist in the fulfillment of the promised sponsorship benefits, such as collecting the logos, signage specs, etc.
Liaise with sponsors.
Oversee and manage the execution of partner deliverables and on-the-ground activations. Provide onsite sales, service and support at events.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training in a convention, hotel and/or large multi-purpose facility preferred. In-depth knowledge and experience in sponsorship sales, practices, and procedures required.
