The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Dentistry at New Orleans seeks nominations and applications for the position of Chair, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, a full-time position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The School of Dentistry seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, and service have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence in dental education. The Chair is an integral part of the School of Dentistry’s Leadership team. The position is associated with four critical areas of responsibility: pre-doctoral education, advanced education, scholarly activity, and patient care. Other duties will include administrative responsibilities such as departmental planning, budgeting, staffing, and supervision. This position reports to the Dean of the School of Dentistry. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The Louisiana State University School of Dentistry was founded in 1968 and is the only dental school in the state. It is located in the City Park area of New Orleans, Louisiana on a 23 acre campus. The School of Dentistry is one of six schools comprising the University’s Health Sciences Center. It is staffed by more than 130 full and part-time faculty and serves approximately 300 students in pre-doctoral and graduate training programs.
