The Louise S. McGehee School is now accepting applications for a dynamic, innovative Spanish Teacher for the middle school and upper school who enthusiastically invests his or herself in all aspects of the Spanish education process and the school-wide community. Qualified candidates will possess a native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and will have at least two years of classroom teaching experience, ideally in an all-girls or independent school setting. Master’s degree in education or Spanish-related field is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate a passion for teaching and leading
Teach with an exceptional understanding of the Spanish language.
Create dynamic sequential lesson plans to meet the needs of the students.
Willingness to participate in student advisory, club sponsorship, carpool, lunch supervision, etc.
Be an active member of the MS and US faculty in planning cross-curricular events.
Clearly and effectively communicate with faculty, students, and parents.
